Delivery of parcels to a vehicle
Description of Processing Purpose:
Thanks to the ŠKODA Connect feature ”Car Access”, you can have parcels from partners of your choice delivered directly to your vehicle. Your vehicle needs to use ŠKODA Connect services. Select a partner from the list, and provide that partner with the possibility of locking and unlocking your vehicle. When shopping from this partner, you can then choose the option “delivery to your car”. In order to deliver the parcels, the partner will locate your parked car, unlock the car, open the luggage compartment, put the parcel inside, lock the car and check the lock. The partner who makes the delivery will provide ŠKODA AUTO with the following data only, and only for the time necessary to deliver the particular parcel: the user’s name and surname, e-mail address and telephone number, the model and colour of the car, location data, and the car’s lock status. If required, you can deactivate the service for selected partners directly in the app.
Processing Authorisation:
Processing is necessary for a successful delivery to a vehicle and support provision. Processing shall be carried out on the basis of a contract.

Processing and Archiving Period:
ŠKODA AUTO will keep and process your necessary personal data during the contractual period. Afterwards, your personal data will be immediately deleted within 6 months at the latest. We may keep some personal data in limited extent after the contractual relationship ends e.g. for the purposes of legal matters resolution, including the performance of obligations towards the public administration bodies and monitoring and ongoing evaluation of legal risks.
Categories of Processors or Recipients to Whom We Can Provide Personal Data:
The provider of delivery services and postal shipments that you approve in advance. The Volkswagen Group and the provider of mobile online services ŠKODA Connect. Your personal data can be provided, upon request, to public authorities, particularly courts, the Police of the Czech Republic and other law enforcement authorities in the required scope and within the bounds of the law.
Personal Data Source:
Directly from you and the vehicle through which you use ŠKODA Connect mobile online services, and which therefore communicates with ŠKODA AUTO data services.
Providing Personal Data to Third Countries or Multinational Companies:
As part of this processing, your personal data will not be transferred to any third countries.
Automated Decision-Making Based on Personal Data:
This will not occur during processing.
Miscellaneous Information:
Personal data may be archived in the public interest and used for the purposes of scientific, historical, or statistical research. In well-founded cases, the personal data can also be the subject of the processing for the purposes of legal matters resolution, including the performance of obligations towards the public administration bodies and monitoring and ongoing evaluation of legal risks.
Some of your personal data may be independently processed by your chosen e-shop and delivery service providers. To exercise your rights in relation to this personal data, we recommend directly contacting the providers with whom you use the “Car Access” feature.
