By means of this document, we, as the controller of personal data – the company ŠKODA AUTO a.s., tř. Description of the purpose of processing:
Through connection with your vehicle using DataPlug module, the ŠKODA Connect LITE App allows you to profit from smart car functions. It allows you to analyse your driving patterns, increase your driving efficiency, control the technical state of your vehicle as well as it provides many other functions.
Selected features of ŠKODA Connect LITE App such as Trips, Challenges, Assistance Call, selected functions of Service and Schedule, selected functions of Support (for more detailed description of the features please refer to the below link) may be used without your login. When you use the services without logging in, we do not process your personal data and they will only be stored locally on your mobile device until you uninstall the app.
If you register in the ŠKODA Connect LITE App, we use your personal data in order to process your registration and/or to provide you with ŠKODA Connect LITE App services. When using features that do require your login, your personal data will be transferred to our data server where it will be processed and – depending on the particular service – stored at your ŠKODA ID user account. To be able to sign up into the ŠKODA Connect LITE App you need a SKODA ID user account provided by SKODA AUTO.
To utilise features within the ŠKODA Connect LITE App such as Trips, Challenges, Assistance Call, Service Partners, Fuel Monitor and Parking Space) the transmission of geodata may be required. In this context, geodata means the data determining the location of your mobile device. Geodata will be transmitted only if this feature has been activated in the SKODA Connect LITE app by your active permission.

Legal basis of the processing:
We have to carry out the processing to be able to enter into the contract on provision of Mobile Online Services ŠKODA Connect LITE with you, or to perform our services throughout the provision of the ŠKODA Connect LITE App. The provision of your personal data is a contractual requirement and if you do not provide them, we might not be able to conclude a contract with you or it might not be possible for us provide you with our services or based on the contract already concluded. Without the processing of your personal data, as described herein, we would not be able to provide you with the Mobile Online Services ŠKODA Connect LITE.

Kennedy, L-1855, Luxembourg.
Upon request, your personal data can be provided to public authorities, in particular to courts, the Police of the Czech Republic and other law enforcement agencies to the necessary extent and within the boundaries of law.

Transfers of personal data to third countries or supranational organisations:
As part of this processing your personal data may be transferred to other ŠKODA AUTO group companies or potentially also other recipients in third countries. This transfer will take place in such a case based on standard contractual clauses, i.e. a sample contract issued by the European Commission without a change in its text as anticipated by current legal regulations concerning personal data protection. Automated decision-making based on the personal data:
During this personal data processing, automated decision-making based on the personal data does not occur.

Personal data may be archived in the public interest and used for scientific, historical or statistical research purposes. In well-founded cases the personal data can also be the subject of the processing for the purposes of legal matters resolution, including the performance of obligations towards the public administration bodies and monitoring and ongoing evaluation of legal risks.

Description of the purpose of processing:
Through connection with your vehicle using DataPlug module, the ŠKODA Connect LITE App allows you to profit from smart car functions. Based on your consent, we may process your personal data for the purpose of advertising, market research or for the needs-oriented design of ŠKODA Connect LITE App using the Adobe Analytics web analysis service, which helps us analyse your access to ŠKODA Connect LITE App. For this evaluation, cookies are stored on your mobile device. These are used to collect information.
Direct personal reference to the information stored on the Adobe servers is excluded as Adobe Analytics uses anonymized IP address.
You may revoke your consent to data collection and processing altogether with cookies being used with effect for the future by deactivating tracking by Adobe under “Settings", at any time. It is not possible to delete individual cookies. Complete deletion of cookies is guaranteed only by uninstalling the ŠKODA Connect LITE app. For further information about cookies, please refer to our general Cookies Policy.
