Intelligent Park Assist helps the driver to park the vehicle in a line of parallel-parked or a row of perpendicular-parked vehicles, and also to exit from a line of parallel-parked vehicles. The system controls the steering wheel, the brakes, the accelerator, and the direction of travel (forwards and backwards). It also detects objects and pedestrians and avoids collisions with them.

The Park Distance Control warns of the potential risk of colliding with obstacles during parking by drawing data from the sensors, the driving parameters, and the steering wheel angle. To avoid those parking situations where you don’t brake in time in response to the distance alerts, the Octavia incorporates Manoeuvre Assist, a feature that stops the car to avoid collision.

The Area View surround-view cameras, which can be found in the front and rear of the vehicle as well as its wing mirror housings, are an exclusive feature of the Škoda Karoq, Kodiaq, Superb, Octavia, Enyaq, and the all-new Enyaq Coupé. They display multiple views of the immediate surroundings on the in-car monitor using wide-angle lenses, including a top-down view and 180-degree images of the areas to the front and rear. The surround-view cameras are most useful on narrow driveways and in parking spaces.

The Trailer Assist function prevents embarrassing mistakes when reversing on the campsite or in front of onlooking neighbours. Using the wing mirrors’ turn-switch, the driver sets the angle they would like to use for reversing. For guidance, the image on the in-car monitor displays a diagram showing the turning angle of the trailer. Subsequently, the driver only has to accelerate gently – the system does the rest and automatically steers the car and trailer in the chosen direction.
